About Lindsey Lewis
Lindsey is a watercolor artist who paints from feeling rather than formula. Her work blends realism with impressionism and focuses on emotional resonance rather than perfect replication. She is drawn to watercolor’s fluidity and unpredictability, allowing each painting to develop naturally as she responds to the mood of the moment.
Born in New Jersey, having spent five years in Florida, and now based in New Hampshire, she draws inspiration from the natural world and the changing New England landscape. She finds the observation of nature and animals deeply restorative, and this connection continues to shape both her subject matter and creative process. Her work is exhibited through the Kittery Art Association and the New Hampshire Art Association.
She has embraced plein air painting as a way to immerse herself in nature and capture the shifting light, sound, and atmosphere of a place in real time.
For her, art is not a project. It is a journey, unfolding naturally with each painting.
